Testing of Smart Bank mobile application

OTP Bank Group is one of the largest independent financial services providers in Central and Eastern Europe with full range of banking services for private individuals and corporate clients.

Challenge

OTP Bank had to understand whether the newly developed Smart Bank mobile application satisfied the initial requirements, to check its functionality, design and graphics quality and usability level. Aplana was to perform manual functional testing of Smart Bank automated mobile banking system using iOS and Android device platforms.

Solution

To successfully perform the task Aplana team selected HP ALM as the main tool. Aplana’s test engineers conducted manual testing on the most popular mobile devices: iPhone 4, iPad 2, Tablet PC Samsung Galaxy Tab2, HTC HD2, Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100, iPhone 5.

Result

During the manual testing process the specialists of Aplana identified about 40 defects not discovered earlier.
The results of this testing allowed to efficiently detect all the problems with the functionality of the application and to take action on eliminating them.

Manual testing performed by Aplana made it possible to promptly discover and resolve functional problems in the system prior to its installation at the Bank.
