Aplana’s Quality Management System for software development and
maintenance is based on PMBOK, PJM, RUP, MSF methodologies. The technological
support for software development processes is based on the IEEE Software
Engineering standards package.
In March 2006 Aplana’s Quality System was assessed by TUV Certification, Germany - one
of the world’s most trustworthy certification body - and granted ISO 9001:2000
certification for software development and maintenance processes.
Consulting, preliminary audit and training of Aplana employees at the pre-assesment stage
was performed by Intercertifica, a Russian partner of TUV-CERT.
The auditors noted the high level of the Company’s QMS readiness for certification:
no significant flaws have been detected during the auditing process,
besides a significant number of ISO requirements were even exceeded.
Such results were not a surprise for Aplana management team as the Company’s
QMS had been originally built having stricter CMM requirements in mind.
The auditors also specially noted the metrics system designed and introduced in Aplana
for measuring and monitoring of QMS processes.
